Our village is located 9 km southwest of Fira. Its architecture makes it one of the most picturesque villages in Santorini, with buildings that combine traditional Cycladic design with the elegance of neoclassical houses. Situated in the heart of Santorini’s wine road, it is home to some of the largest wine producers in Greece, such as Boutari, Antoniou, Venetsanos, and Gavalas wineries, surrounded by beautiful, traditional vineyards.

It is a quiet, traditional village with cobblestone alleys. While renowned for its vineyards and wineries, it also features two secluded beaches on the caldera side named after local churches, Plaka and Therme. Both beaches are inaccessible by car.

Activities:
In Megalochori, you can visit and photograph churches with unique architecture and bell towers, enjoy a traditional Greek meal at the tavernas and restaurants in the village square, and tour the local wineries.
